Visit Us
We warmly welcome term-time visits from prospective parents and children, for a tour of our lovely school and a taste of what life at East Markham is like. Please contact the school office if you would like to arrange a time and a date to meet our team.
Early Years Admissions Information
We appreciate that starting school is such an important and special time for you and your child. Our Foundation 1 class caters for children from the age of three years, until they move into Foundation 2. We follow the new Early Years Framework, alongside the Development Matters guidance and our excellent understanding of child development and different learning styles, to help us plan experiences that are rich, memorable and meaningful to our children.
To apply for a place, please complete the application form. Once complete, the application can be sent by post, email or dropped off at the school office.
15 and 30-hours Childcare Entitlement
In addition to the universal offer of 15 hours that every child (in the term after their third birthday) is entitled to, many working parents are entitled to the extended 30-hours child care funding (38 weeks per year, during term time). Eligibility criteria can be found on the Childcare Choices website.
If you believe that you are entitled to the extra 30-hours funding, after checking your eligibility, then please contact the school office. Please note that you must apply in the term before your child’s third birthday.
Early Years Session Times and Meals
Session times are 8:30-11:30am and 12:30-3:30pm. If you would like your child to remain in school at lunchtime, you will need to pay £25 per week to cover lunchtime provision (11:30am-12:30pm) and provide a packed lunch. If you would like them to have a school dinner, these need to be ordered and paid for in advance at the office (£2.80 per day). All monies need to be paid by the end of each week for the following week.
