PE and Sport Premium Funding at East Markham Primary School
In April 2013, the Government announced new funding for Physical Education (PE) and sport. This funding should be used to improve the quality and breadth of PE and Sport provision. This funding is ring-fenced, to be used for sport specific areas, to make an impact in Physical Education and Sport in schools as outlined in this document: EM Sports Premium document.pdf
East Markham Primary School is committed to providing excellent sporting facilities and opportunities for all its pupils. With hard courts and a Multi-Use Games area available, the school offers a variety of physical activities such as athletics, football, netball, basketball, cricket, and tag rugby.
We use high quality coaches to work with staff and pupils in tennis, cricket, football and gymnastics and we are always on the lookout for new opportunities.
The school actively competes in community fixtures and have been awarded a GOLD school games kite mark each year since 2016.
The school uses Government funding to improve provision of physical education (PE) and sport in primary schools.
Our overall aim at East Markham Primary School is to raise standards in P.E. and school sport, increasing the participation and opportunities offered to all our children. We aim to provide higher quality lessons and improved learning for all.
